Bitterroot F-14 F-Style Mandolin (2011)
Previously owned by British folk musician Gerry Robinson

This 2011 Bitterroot F-14 F-style mandolin is a standout example of modern luthiery with old-world character and a story to match.

Built by Bruce Weber, in Montana, USA. The Weber mandolin benefits from Bruce and his small team's years of experience building instruments for the Flatiron Mandolin and Banjo Company followed by his time spent as the General Manager and Head Luthier of the Gibson mandolin division.

With the classic F-style silhouette and refined appointments, the Bitterroot F-14 delivers a voice that’s clear, woody, and confidently punchy, with excellent note separation and a warm, ringing sustain. It responds beautifully to both delicate tremolo and assertive rhythm work, making it equally at home in traditional folk settings or more contemporary acoustic ensembles.

What truly sets this instrument apart is its provenance. Previously owned and played by British folk legend Gerry Robinson, this mandolin carries the subtle marks of honest use and musical life, evidence of an instrument that’s been loved, played, and heard. It has matured gracefully over the years, opening up into a richly complex tonal palette that new instruments simply can’t replicate.
